For this project I want to learn new practices. I really enjoyed doing an illustration project at the end of last year but I found that just drawing in a sketchbook was not pushing my learning. I really want to learn how to make jewellery, and perhaps go into ceramics and have a go at pottery and learn lasercutting. I do not want to leave out my programme learning either- and will strive to get a hang of Adobe Illustrator and try some new techniques out on Photoshop.
The Beginning
Bonjour les peoples. For this first project of year two I have chosen Paris as my topic of study and I WILL be making a blog. Not only that, but I will be shocking you with my amazing and highly technical french vocabulary as well as my truly bon bon pictures and drawings. J'adore le francais, so, am totally owning the french this year. Oui.
Have begun this project by trying to tackle a mahooosive building- the Notre Dame. I did try and do some research on who actually designed the place- a dodgy looking website said its a guy called Maurice de Sully and he sounds tres francais so am running with him.
This building is incredible- have been to visit it nearly every time I've been to Paris and even though its always packed with tourists and people trying to get you to buy hats and keyrings, it really is amazing. Difficult to draw, but amazing.
Decided that I would try to do a detailed drawing of it as I've never really done buildings before and this huge one seems to be a perfect starting point.
