Ahh....la nourriture...
So many pastries, so little time.
When I was thinking of french food croissants first came to mind (obviously) and then pain au chocolat. Actually full on despise pain au chocolat. They are disgusting and should not sully the chocolate name.
But yes, croissants. Was watching The Great British Bake off the other week (because it is amazing) and they were making croissants and now I have a whole new respect for the Croissant Makers. Their life is hard.
Turns out, there is a whole pastry thing going down with many many layers of butter and then the rolling takes many many years to perfect. What I finally deduced from this was that the french, along with myself apparently, have too much time on our hands.
